Frequently Asked Questions about Lottago

How do I install Lottago?

Lottago® is easy to use. Simply place the 6mm saliva ejector and click it in the jaw support. If you wish to also use the connector, then you mount it at the end of the saliva ejector. The 11 mm oral evacuatie will fit into the connector.

For more details read the Lottago® Instructions for Use.

How many times can I reuse the jaw support?

Medical law forces manufacturers to indicate a maximum to the usability for reusable instruments. Our laboratory tests on Lottago® jaw supports indicate that after 250 thermo-disinfection and additional sterilization cycles, the material of the product is not compromised and a functional and safe use is ensured.
Nevertheless we strictly advise the user to inspect the products prior to each use – do not use this product if signs of wearance occur.

How do I clean Lottago® jaw supports and connectors?

For Lottago®, all regular cleaning procedures for semi-critical and critically used instruments apply. Inform yourself on the Rules that apply to your region, use safety clothing when cleaning instruments.

After use, dispose of your 6mm saliva ejector and 11 mm oral evacuators.
Disconnect the Lottago® jaw support and connector and clean them by thermo-disinfection and additional sterilization.

The components are produced from biocompatible plastic, resistent to high temperatures of sterilization. However, if you wish to use the products long, we recommend you apply the plastic programme (124ºC, max 15 minutes) when sterilizing.

A validated CDS protocol can be downloaded from our downloadpage.

Why only one size available?

The size has been designed with care – it turns out this size is suitable both for children and mature patients. Some patiënts experience difficulty to open up the mouth. In that case, slide the 6mm saliva ejector a bit further down and place the jaw support somewhat higher. For use at wide-opened-mouth mature patients, simply place the jaw support further down below.
