OUR STORY

DHM-medical is owned and operated by founders Maarten den Hartog and Pamela Musch. Coming from a family amongst which medical professionals, technical specialists and pioneers, the couple started the industrial design studio DenHartogMusch in 1995. In their long design career, a variety of ergonomic and innovative products in diverse branches was created – many of those products received honourable design awards. The two became familiar with dental ergonomic problems through their family. This ignited a huge spark to finally solve the daily-experienced problem of the blurring mirror. 

In 2012-2013, the design team, together with team of dental experts, invented and thoroughly tested the concept of the Yirro-plus air flow mirror. Then it was time to put preach into practice: the manufacturing company DHM-dental was founded in the beautiful province of Gelderland, Netherlands. Its overall mission was clear from the start: to create and provide dental innovations that minimize the physical work load.

In 2024, the company name has been changed into DHM-medical due to a broader range of activities amongst which DHM-dental is operating as the dental division.

Since the first market launch the Yirro-plus dental mirror has been implemented in numerous clinics and hands-on course class rooms all over the world.  Our ongoing dedication to innovate has resulted in a number of products added to our portfolio and more to come.

At DHM-medical, we choose for durable materials and the best quality components available, supplied by high quality partners. In order to reduce our company’s environmental foot print, we assemble in-house and prefer our suppliers to be located as close by as possible. Our products are designed for disassembly and reuse and repair as much as possible. We effectively perform inspections and tests within the production process to ensure that each end user device meets the highest possible quality standards.
